It has been a week filled with some burn out, but I was able to finish an audiobook, and that was fantastic. I was able to finish listening to Sunrise of the Reaping, and that was really well done.
I like the audiobook version, but the best part about the book is that it was Haymitch’s story and how we won't his hunger games.
Haymiatch was in the 50th hunger games, the second quarter quell where 4 people from each district were reaped into the hunger games. Haymitch was illegally reaped at 16, but he was able to win the games, so there is that. The best part about it going into the story is just that you know that he survives, so the story is just about how.
I was trying to read each day this week, and I was doing well near the beginning of the week, but then I had some burnout, so I just decided to take it easy and watch a movie, which is fine, and I rather did enjoy the movies which I did watch.
I really enjoyed listening to the Sunrise of the Reaping, and I enjoy the fact that I am getting into audiobooks more as of late. This is mostly why I have been able to keep up with reading a book a week, which I think is fine. I am not too concerned about it.
I do want to get back into the habit of reading every night just so that I can read a book a week as well as listen to an audiobook. I am excited that I can do both and that I am heading to a new adventure where I don’t need to be concerned about how much or little I am reading, just the fact that I am reading.
I want to read a lot more, and I think that would be the best way to do it. I do find that reading can be very relaxing, especially when I get into a story. I just need to settle down and read the story!
Happy reading, everyone, and we will see you all next week!
