I only finished one book this week, mainly because I was sick again. I am feeling a lot better now and looking forward to reading a lot more over this long weekend but that is something that I can look forward to, but in other words, Onyx Storm is finished.
I want to get and stay healthy, and with a snowy long weekend here, that is exactly what I am going to do.
It took me so long to get into Onyx Storm that I think that I lost my speed with it, so I finished listening to it on audio, which is fine, but I wanted to get it done so fast that I listened to it way to fast in my opinion, but I did end up picking up a lot from it. Although disjointed with my thoughts on the book it did feel somewhat all over the place with no real stacks being raised and that something was missing, but it was really good at the end of the day.
This is what I thought of Onyx Storm
I have finally finished Onyx Storm and it is my favourite out of the Empyrean series.It is about Violet and friends who are in battle school, training to become better warriors while going out and fighting real battles.Violet and her boyfriend who becomes king Xanden really do love each other even though they were enemies at first but they really do love each other. Violet and Xaden do become so close where Violet and Xaden go into each others dreams. Do they end up getting married? Is the marriage a contractual obligation and only for a few years? Violet and her friends leave the Empyrean to go into battle where they find that there are people that don't like the fire bringers and want them to leave and refuse their help. There are also places that don't allow you to weld magic as well. They also go to a place where the find bigger and better dragons then they have ever seen. Of course Violet's powers grow and can communicate with these bigger dragons and has to use that against them.
I am happy that I decided to pick up this series and that I do have it forever. I can keep it and reread it again if I decide and it is something that I do plan on doing in the future.
I am excited to know that I can and will most likely reread this series but this time all in a row as I do think that it is that good and for me, it is a never-ending story.
I picked up some candy cane hot chocolate and it was very disappointing, but it is something that I do plan on trying again to see how it tastes as I don’t think I gave it a fair shot to begin with.
