Getting Back on Track!

It has been a week since I have just relaxed and didn’t do much because I was away and then I got sick, so I am just trying to find my new normal.

I am going to become somewhat less busy in the new year which is going to be fun so I am hoping that I can find some time to be able to do great a new normal for myself where I am reading and listening to audio-books more.

I am excited for Christmas this year, but I am just more excited about getting things out of the house that I have been keeping for friends and family than anything else! It has been a fun time to get things for other people, which I love to do, and I know that I will be able to create more space in my home for new gifts to be saved up for them.

I have received a bunch of light-up ‘toys’ that are adding to the ambiance of my reading corner. I love them and have been looking forward to having them for a very long time. However, I think that I will need to make some new decisions about what I want to do with them, which I think is going to be hard. At least I can attempt to make the right decision.

I do like the aesthetic of a space that is very intentional but I do need to be able to get rid of some items that are no longer giving me some joy.  I am happy that I am able to live close to a donation center where I can get rid of all of my items quickly.

I am going to have a try-on haul of some clothes so I can determine if I want to keep them or not as I do not want to have items around the house that are no longer giving me joy or that I am not going to be wearing.  I do not want to be storing items that are not going to be worth the hold at the end of the day.

I am trying to make new reading plans by having some lights that are going to bring the vibes in as well as making sure that I set some time aside every single day to be reading.

The time that I want to be setting aside is right before bedtime.  I want to be able to sit back with tea and to be able to read until I get to go to bed.

I finished reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir this week.  I both read and listened to this book, and it is far better than an audio-book versus a book that you read.  Here are my thoughts on the book:

This book is something to read. I started off reading it and then ended up listening to the audio-book.I think that it is something to read. We are following Ryland Grace who wakes up on Hail Mary and doesn't know what is going on. The book jumps from the present time to the past before Hail Mary leaves Earth. We find that something fueling Hail Mary is destroying Earth, and fixing the problem is Hail Mary's mission.

I am not too sure what I am going to be reading next but I am going to bring you alone for the ride at the end of the day and I am happy to bring you alone.

Until next week!
