I ended up finishing 1 book and 1 craft this week which I am so super happy about. It wasn’t at all that much to do but I am happy that I was able to do this.
I am going to finish another book before this long weekend is over as well as start a new craft!
I was supposed to read more yesterday and start my new crafter yesterday so I could show you all, but I just decided that I was going to take the night off and just sit down and relax. Sometimes it is great to just be able to sit down and to not have to worry about anything else other than having your feet up.
I was reading some of Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs and I honestly felt like it was going in one eye and out the other. It’s not the writing at all its just more so that I wasn’t able to focus or wasn’t really in the mood to be reading but I am now, and I want to be spending more time reading. Maybe it was just how I was earlier today.
I finished Confessions of a Curious Bookseller by Elizabeth Green, and it was amazing. I really liked it. It was more of a comedy than a very little romance if you would call it that and it was fascinating. I was always smiling and laughing with this book because it was just the things that Fawn would say, or rather wright in her journal or email. This book was written in a style that I much enjoy and really forgot that existed for a long period of time or just frankly never sought out. It was written just in email and Fawn’s journal entry. It was a great way to tell this narrative.
For a while I was concerned that there would be a love story and that it would turn out to be like the movie You Got Mail starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan but it wasn’t, which I am so super happy about. This book was interesting, the main lesson in which I have learned and taken away from this book is that you shouldn’t just be doing something just to do something, in Fawn’s words that she was clinging onto this dream of having a bookstore that she was having a ‘pissing contest’ with her family. I would recommend this book and gave it a 4 out of 5 stars!
I finished a craft project of a pink gradient granny square that I am not too sure what you could use it for, but it exists. I was given a whole bunch of odds and ends from a few different people and that was all that I had left of a ball that I was given, it wasn’t much but it was something and it is cohesive to the point where I bet someone will like it and will get some enjoyment out of it. I have added it to my box of things to sell!
