It has been a very productive read this week with quite a unique spread, I have read, 3 novellas, 2 graphic novels, 2 young adult and 2 adult fiction. Overall, 6 out of the 9 were Ali Hazelwood books which is great timing as her new book comes next week which I plan on reading as well as soon as I can get my hands on a copy!
This week I have read….
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood
Stuck With You by Ali Hazelwood
Below Zero by Ali Hazelwood
Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood
Keeper of the Lost Cities The Graphic Novel Part 1 by Celina Frenn
Big Apple Diaries by Alyssa Bermudez
Bride by Ali Hazelwood
Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough
I think I will wait for Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood to come into the library so I can read it, which might take a few weeks to a month which is fine just as long as I can read the book!
Now that I have read a lot of Ali Hazelwood books, I can say that I preferred her novellas and her young adult books to her adult fiction the most and part of that could be that she has had more writing experience than she is just able to portray the story a little bit better.
Overall, I am happy that I have a lot of Ali Hazelwood books beucase that is something that I have been meaning to do for a while.
I picked up 2 graphic novels from the library, which is fine, but I do need to focus on my novels I think, and I should be more focused on the quality of books versus the quantity of the books as well.
I wanted to read the Big Apple Diaries graphic novel which is great that when it came back into the library, I borrowed it. I enjoyed the style of the graphic novel more than the actual storyline of it.
I read Behind Her Eyes by Lisa Pinbvorough rather quickly due to it being such a page turner. I would suggest this book to you if you enjoyed thrillers because it had me for the entire book. I haven’t read any of Sarah Pinborough’s books before and I didn’t know she existed as an author before picking up this book, but I do now, and I am so grateful for it. If one of her books comes into the bookstore that I volunteer at, I think I might pick it up!
Overall, I have read 9 books, and I am happy with what I have read. The main thing I am proud of is that I got to know what everyone is talking about when it comes to Ali Hazelwood and I am happy that I do agree with what they are saying, to the point that next week when her new book comes out, I plan on reading it!
