4 Non-Fiction Audio books Down!

This week, I listened to 4 audio books about weight loss and affirmations. I thought that they were cool or just alright. better than the ones that I was listening to a few weeks before, but they were worth the listen, more so than the ones beforehand.


This is what I thought of all the books

 

Rapid Weight + Loss Affirmations by Stephens Hyang

I thought that this was OK, I really just enjoyed hearing how you should be making affirmations at the end of it.


For example, instead of saying I am going to the gym this week, say I am going to go to the gym 2 times this week.A different way of thinking of weight loss.

 

Natural Stomach Weight Loss by George Nathan Jr.

I thought the affirmations in this one were better than the other audio books that I have heard of but it was still generally alright. At least the affirmations were more so 'I like the way that vegetables taste in my mouth' versus 'I like to eat vegetables because they are less calories'.


Emotional Intelligence Mastery by George Nathan Jr.

I thought that this one was alright, it wasn't good or bad.The affirmations were more so that you are a good person, you attractive good changes and people in your life sort of thing, and that you are amazing. I wouldn't listen to it regularly but out of all the affirmation audios that I have listened to recently, if I were to listen to one regularly or more than once I think this one would be it.

 

The Big Fat Truth by JD Roth

I thought that this book was really good. I thought that it had some really important lessons and stories to help inspire anyone on their weight loss journey. I am happy that I listened to this book The most important things that I got from this book is that1. You have to fix yourself on the inside before you can fix what is on the outside, especially if you want to keep it off. You have to know and understand your emotions and triggers so you know how to change and not repeat or, worse of fall back into your old habits. 2. You are what you eat, so you have to eat well, consistently3. Yes, exercise is not as important as what you eat. Make exercise part of your everyday life where you don't even think about it anymore, even if it is just a 10-minute dance party or a 15-minute walk around the block4. Your actions speak louder than words5. Consistency is key. You are going to have some bad days, which is fine just as long as you get back up and continue your own health journey!

 

Overall I do like what I listened to this week but I think I need to give the whole weight loss industry audiobooks a rest and get back into audiobooks that are either fiction or young adult, I am even considering some classics as well.  Either way I am sure it will be enjoyable.
