4 Books Read!

Ater a few weeks of not reading a whole lot I have ended up reading 4 books this week!

4. Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman

This is what I thought of each one.

Anastasia The Movie Novel Cathy East Dubowski

I think that this book is worth the read. It is about a lost princess who gets convinced by a con man that she should pretend to be the princess so they can get some money but it turns out that Anya is Anastasia and Dimitrie isn't a con man after all.Anya and Dimitrie fall in love due to spending the adventure of a life time together.

The Cyborg Anthology Poems by Lindsay B-E (Lindsay Hazelwanter)

This is a futurist book of poems that are written by cyborgs. These cyborgs are either fully robotic or half organic and half robot. There are different topics that it covers like early cyborg poems, poems and politics, and pop culture poets. There is a small description of the poet themselves then it gives you a selection of their most popular poems.It is a unique book, glad I read it but I will be donating this to a free mini library.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

I thought this book was really well written. It is about a girl named Jane Eyre who lived in the 1800's. she was sent to live at a boarding school for orphan children by her aunt where Jane learned to become a teacher.Soon after she left to be a governess at Thornfield Hall, she fell in love with her benefactor Edward Rochester. Jane soon leaves Thornfield after Edward confesses some things to her. Jane is found by some cousins who tell her that her uncle, their father has left her $5,000. Jane is now a kept woman but finds that there was a fire at Thornfield Hall. Jane goes back to check on Edward who due to the fire, lost an eye and is blind in the other but is happy to see Jane. Jane and Edward get married. Ten years later, they have a baby boy, and Edward regains some sight in his eye.

Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman

I thought that this book was super cute.It is about 2 highschool boys who are paired together to help each other out in highschool.One boy, Charlie is gay but Nick is not. After hanging out Nick starts to question his sexuality and starts to think that he is now bisexual. Together Charlie and Nick start to have what looks right now to be a budding relationship. I look forward to seeing what the next 4 volumes will entail!

I did enjoy each book that I read this week and I have put the other 4 Heartstopper graphic novels on hold at my library to pick up and then to read later on this week!
